01 Competition A modular nursery school design proposed for rural Senegal, inspired by the region's agricultural patchwork. The concept features a gridded framework of adobe brick columns and woven bamboo screens that adapt to seasonal shifts, utilizing community-driven construction.
02 Award winner A conceptual, sustainably oriented sleeping pod for the Vale de Moses yoga retreat in central Portugal, built around a natural daub shell and on-site water catchment. I led design development, research, building details and the presentation board writing. Winner of the Buildner Client's Favorite Award.
03 Honorable mention My fourth-semester capstone: a modular mass timber rowhouse exploring how CLT construction can add density under Calgary's R-CG bylaw. Earned an Honorable Mention at the Wood WORKS! SAIT 2020 competition.
04 Academic A prefabricated community recreation centre in Horsens, Denmark, designed for sustainability and flexible mixed use. The team worked through design outline, building services, planning, production and construction.
05 Academic A production specification booklet for a prefabricated concrete wall element, covering concrete composition, rebar requirement calculations, reinforcement placement, insulation and element details.
06 Academic A live/work design studio in Calgary's Kensington neighbourhood, with a ground-floor office and second-floor residence, designed to NBC 2015 small-building guidelines and Calgary zoning.
Several years across mass timber estimating, BIM and drafting, building on an architectural technology diploma and a minor in architecture. I have learned a building from its cost and its details, and I design with both in mind.
Cost estimation and material take-offs for mass timber construction projects. I prepare project bids drawing on mass timber structural requirements, sustainability practices and timber supply-chain logistics, working in Excel, Bluebeam, Revit and Cadwork.
Built precise 3D Revit models and detailed drawing sets for mass timber projects with a focus on quality and clarity, coordinating with the BIM and engineering teams to ensure accuracy, constructability and seamless integration of timber components.
Analyzed architectural and structural plans to generate accurate material lists and project budgets, modelled optimized CLT panel layouts in Cadwork for pricing, ran internal drawing reviews and managed the estimating team's schedule and workload.
